A Carousel for Missoula will be interviewing for the summer season on Wednesday, May 18, at 5:30pm. Interested individuals should read the job description, complete the appropriate application and bring the completed application with them to the Carousel on May 18, at 5:30pm.

Carousel Worker Job Description

Salary: Minimum wage ($7.35/hour)

Work Study is preferred, but not required

Hours: As needed •  the Carousel is open 11am to 5:30pm from Sept. through May, and 10am to 9pm, June through August.  We do occasional private parties before or after these hours.  We are willing to work around an employee’s schedule.

The Carousel values knowledge and experience in its employees, but does not require prior job experience in a new hire.  We are willing to train anyone who is excited about working at the Carousel, energetic and good with people.

Platform/rides: All new employees begin working on the platform.  This position involves letting riders into the platform area, making sure they are safe before, during and after the ride, and letting them back out of the area.  The main concern of this position is the safety of the riders.  Platform workers need to be cheerful and to deal well with a variety of people.  Platform workers must be willing to jump on and the platform while it is moving, and to learn the names and histories of all the ponies.
